Another fun week/weekend in the books! Summers are far too short around here, so we have to pack as much in as possible (although I’ve heard some grumblings about wishing winter was here and the first issue of POWDER came this week?!). We missed Tuesday night’s sluff race because a nasty rain storm was in CT hanging out, but we got fooled into not racing because we checked the radar. Then Bumpa’s new boat showed up on Thursday and was launched Friday morning. We headed down Friday night to all eat dinner together then go for an AWESOME cruise around the bay and through Newport. Then Saturday morning Elias and I went down again for what was going to be a fun “quick” ride again, but nothing is EVER quick in our family (with boats) so we were there until 3:30 and Elias got some of his nap in on the boat while Bumpa and I had a GREAT tour of Jamestown! You should see how different the houses all are since the last time I’ve gone around (and been able to watch?). I also snuck out on Friday night and shot star trails at Castle Hill, you’ll see a final edit of that shot here eventually (I’m 3 landscape shoots behind at this point) but here’s a preview:
Then of course Sunday was a washout… Not 100%, it just looked bad all day, but we stayed in and got a lot done all day, then went for a “sunday drive” to Sakonnet for another photo project (which you’ll also see later when I get some time to catch up!).
