Well after a 2.5 month wait (I pre-ordered 9/23) I FINALLY have my new camera.  It’s not that this camera is a huge upgrade in any one spec I needed, it’s a sum of it’s parts that appealed to me.  I don’t need 21mp for most of what I shoot, but at times it’ll be nice.  I don’t need ISOs up to 25600, but at times ~6400 would be nice.  I don’t need a killer LCD, but it sure looks good in person.  I sold my 5D about 2 months ago and have been patiently (for the most part) waiting for the 5Dii to ship.  Well it finally did and I’m just excited to be back to FF shooting again.  I’ll post up a real review maybe this weekend after I’ve had some seat time.

The battery is on the charger while I type (although it did have enough in it to at least turn it on and set the date).  Can’t wait till lunch.

I also got the 24-105 with the body as a kit.  It’s a lens I’ve been curious about so to get both was promising.  I’ll see if I like it and if not sell it so my body’s a few hundred less.
