Had a great weekend this week. Friday night we went down to second beach for dinner with the Welbys. It was 105 in Providence so the relatively cool 85 in Newport felt awesome, then the ocean was just icing on the cake. Of course we went to Frosty Freeze on the way home! Then Saturday […]

Well I finally made it out to Buttonwoods to see the sunrise. We went Saturday morning and arrived a bit before sunrise and actually managed to get lucky with both the flowers (which “only” point towards the sun) and the weather. Enjoy.

Went down to Sachuest again this weekend. Something about this place just keeps me coming back… I’ve got good shots from here, but I know I can do better, so I keep trying to get it “right” which is always fun. The sunrise wasn’t amazing this week, but still gave me something to work with. […]

Well we had a great weekend this weekend. Friday night was the Portuguese Feast near Nikki’s parent’s house at the Portsmouth PAC. It’s been a tradition that we go every year and get chourico sandwiches, but with Elias being a bit over three now the rides have really become the main event. We had a miscommunication between […]

Bryan and I made it out to Sachuest Sunday morning. It was actually one of the better ocean sunrises in a long while this summer which was a nice treat. Sachuest has always been a struggle for me in terms of including the actual sunrise, but I think I finally got something that works in […]

On Tuesday Andy and I headed out to Bash Bish Falls in Massachusetts. I basically grew up about 10 minutes from here but haven’t been back in over 10 years, especially not to shoot some serious landscapes. Andy and I are always taking about doing some scapes further away, but between work schedules and family schedules […]

Went to Devil’s Hopyard with Andy and Dan on Monday morning. It was a bit foggy which made it less than ideal shooting wise, but with the three of us (and Dan’s not a landscape guy) we had a blast figuring out the best way to shoot the place. Enjoy.

I actually went to quonset on Sunday for the (record setting attendance/”sold out”) airshow. It was my first time going -vs- watching from either the beach near our house or by boat, which was awesome. I had Elias with me and this was during his nap time so he eventually hit his limit and asked […]

We had our annual air show BBQ this weekend. It was a ton of fun. He had about 15 adults this year with somewhere around 10 kids. The kids had just as much fun as the adults running around our yard and our neighbors yard as well as the house. The adults got to enjoy a nice […]

My sister was in town over the weekend so I dragged her out on the one “partly cloudy” morning which turned into a total gray ugly morning, but we still made the best of it and had some fun. We decided to go to Beavertail as she loves lighthouses (who doesn’t) and it’s the easiest […]

We had a great weekend this weekend with Aunt Jess and Uncle Ben flying in to Rhode Island for the weekend. We hosted dinner at our house both on Thursday night (when they flew in) and Saturday night (their last night here) in our back yard which made it a ton of fun as we […]

The Js put on an awesome show in Newport for 5 days wrapping up this weekend. I was able to get out for one day on Saturday and watch 2 races (Friday’s was postponed/cancelled and raced Saturday). It’s amazing seeing 2 boat of this size and speed race INSIDE Narragansett bay.

Yeah, ummm…. Elias can repeat just about anything we say at this point! Whoops! And this one can’t be blamed on me! We were driving home from the grocery store tonight and a pick up truck stopped in the middle of the road. Nikki said: “What the Hell?” and Elias turned around and repeated it… […]
