We had our annual air show BBQ this weekend. It was a ton of fun. He had about 15 adults this year with somewhere around 10 kids. The kids had just as much fun as the adults running around our yard and our neighbors yard as well as the house. The adults got to enjoy a nice relaxing evening of grilled food and then a nice fire with s’mores. On Sunday Elias and I actually went to Quonset for the first time to see the airshow. I’d only ever seen it by boat or beach, and we always miss the smaller prop planes so it was really fun to see them up close. I guess it was the most people that have ever been to the show and they had to declare it a “sold out” event and turn people away for the first time ever. It took me and Elias 1:15 to drive what would normally take <10min to get to the busses, then another half hour to get to the show. Luckily it only took <30min to get out and home because we left early (Elias was skipping his nap and hit his limit). Next year we’ll ride bikes over there for sure, and either go INTO the show again, or just ride to the end of the runway (no crowds and you can bring coolers and have shade/grass). But we’ll definitely go watch again.
