Ben Steinberg and I decided to try the solo twin in avalanche IV this year.  We had a wonderful start and then sailed into the mother of all holes and watched the fleet sail away from us…  From there we stuck with it and had a great long sail out around Block Island, over the Buzzards, then back to Newport.  The highlight for both of us was the leg from Block to Buzzards which was downwind, included a massive front with 25kt+ winds, torrential rain (very briefly) and seeing a whale all while the sun was setting.  Enjoy.
