Made it down to Watch Hill lighthouse with my good friend Andrew Stockwell back in the beginning of October. The sunrise itself was a blown out bluebird affair but I was able to get a great silhouette shot before the sun actually rose with an amazing red sky. Interestingly enough, once the sun had just broken the horizon the birds were flying all over the place and getting into the foreground. The fisherman also showed up in about 5~10 boats as well so the shot would have been very cluttered if taken after sunrise. Timing is everything!
