So I obviously posted about climbing Mount Monroe already this weekend here. But that was just the best images from the trip like I usually do with my landscape outings. With this trip though it was an overnight at the lake of the clouds hut with a lot of hiking around so I’ve got a ton of other shots I figured I’d share. Not really as stunning images for my landscape viewers, but more just to tell the story and share what I saw with anyone who wants to see what it’s like up there.
Really love some of the shots in this set, Ben. Looks like a fun camping trip!
thanks Mark, yeah, it was a ton of fun! To be honest, after the hike up (in the rain/fog/dark) I was saying I’d “never hike here again”… Then I got up for sunrise and changed my mind!
Really nice shots Ben. Where is Monroe and how high is it? looks like it was above the clouds?
ANBF!!! Monroe is right next to Mount Washington (worst weather on earth or at least the east coast, blah blah blah). Monroe is 5,372 and Washington is 6,288. Both are in NH. And yes, above the clouds for once (it seems I’m always IN them when I’m up there, but not this trip).
Terrific photos. Is #30 tuckerman’s ravine?
Sure is! And thanks.
