Isabella is already a week old, hard to believe! So far we’ve really been enjoying her and everything has been far more relaxed this time around. We’re not sure if she’s more relaxed or if we are or if it’s a combination of both, but everything has been going great with her. She’s letting Nikki sleep for about 3~4 hours between feedings at night and the only reason she seems to cry is to be fed, so it’s typically an easy fix. We’ve had some great gifts from neighbors and family in terms of food so we haven’t really had to cook much at all this week either. GiGi, Pop Pop, Aunt Mary Jocelyn and Jill all came over to visit yesterday, Isabella quietly sat with everyone for a few hours w/o so much as a peep.
Elias is still in Daycare during the week, but for the weekend I made sure to keep him as busy as possible, so Saturday we ran an errand to Ikea, then Sunday he and I went to the park in the morning. He’s doing VERY well with Isabella and wants to help with everything. He’s very gentle with her and our only complaint this far is that he doesn’t quite understand being quiet when she’s asleep, but he comes by that naturally. She also appears to be a sound sleeper so that hasn’t been a problem yet.
All in all it’s been a GREAT first week with Isabella and I’m really not looking forward to going back to work in 2 days.
She’s such a cutie, can’t wait to meet her.. Where did you get the snake?
