Well Elias is officially three now.  He’s also officially potty trained, he made it by about a week which has been awesome for us.  I guess no diapers in the house for 2~3 weeks before we start all over again?  Elias got spoiled rotten at his party, then we saved a few gifts for him for Wednesday on his actual birthday.  One was mine (a thomas portable trainset) then I also took a check from Grandma J and cashed it for him, but got 25 gold $1 coins for him and had them in a gold bag from work.  Wednesday Elias and Nikki met me at work for lunch where we went down to Toys R Us so Elias could spend his money.  He was VERY good at picking something out and putting other things back and only spending what he had.  We let him wander and look at everything/anything he wanted, but in the end we’d tell him what was too much and we basically made him pick between options that would land him on exactly the right amount.  He ended up with <$1 in change and we even had him pay the checkout lady!!!  We also went to McDonalds for Shamrock shakes after which was a treat!  Then today (sunday) we went back to spend Aunt Jess’ gift card, also at TRU which was perfect because he’d been talking about a few of the things he’d also wanted but had to choose between on Wednesday.  Elias and I also managed to get out for a walk on the beach today, but both Nikki and I have colds right now so we had a pretty slow weekend.
