yeah yeah, two days late, I know.  Some of you know, some of you may want to skip to the next paragraph, but Nikki and I both had a nasty stomach bug this past week.  Nikki got it Thursday night into Friday and was out of commission through Saturday (Elias and I went to my parents that morning to stay away from the germs as much as possible).   Sunday I went and shot a sunrise, but I also ended up getting sick Sunday afternoon (during the cup race) and missed work Yesterday.  My mom bailed us out yesterday as daycare was closed due to the holiday and Debbie has a sinus infection.  So basically avoid any of us or you might catch something!!!!


Beyond that it’s been a fun couple of days with the Olympics starting and with the America’s Cup playing out with plenty of drama on Friday and Sunday.  Dad and I re-watched Friday’s race together on Saturday.  What an amazing piece of tech that dogzilla is!  123′ amas, ~210′ wing mast?  90′ WIDE?!  Yes please, I’ll take a ride!  I can’t wait to see what the cup will be in when it comes home either!  Then the Olympics started and we’ve been having a blast watching the men’s downhill, some short track, snowboarding (cross) and moguls.

As for Elias he’s been talking up a storm lately.  He’s getting quite the vocabulary and it’s a lot of fun to figure out what he’s saying.
