I finally got the refund for my boda bag this week due to a broken zipper which they couldn’t replace. Back when I bought it (almost a year ago now) the think tank UD30 was the other bag I was giving some serious consideration to. Now that I’m starting over I’ve gone with the Think Tank Urban Disguise 30 and I’m loving it. Think Tank seems to really build their bags well, so I look forward to seeing how well it holds up and how I like it once the honeymoon is over. My other plan with this bag is to use it as a chest holster in place of my lowe pro TLZ AW. The lowe pro is a good bag, but it’s a bit bigger than it needs to be for what it can carry (the top is square but should be rectangular, it tapers as it goes down again wasting space). The UD30 is the same height and maybe 1″ wider, but it’s ~2″ skinnier which will be nice since this is on my chest when I ski with it.
I have some spectra lashed to this now that will work with the TLZ harness. I’ve skied with this bag twice now, both times loaded and strapped to my chest. It works quite well with my spectra strapping solution and my existing lowepro chest harness. I would highly recommend TT’s chest harness if you’re buying something new though as it seems to have more adjust-ability and better padding. Check the shots in the gallery to see how it fit.
You can find the ThinkTank UD30 here.
It’s also been suggested to me that the Think Tank Change up might be a better solution for skiing. I won’t disagree with that (especially considering it comes with the harness for the same price) but it’s not as good a looking bag unfortunately. While skiing I don’t care how the bag looks, but I also use this as a day to day shoulder bag and I love the subtle basic black look the to UD line. I’m hoping to eventually add the Change up to my bag lineup, but right now the UD30 was the better solution. Their new retrospective line is also very appealing to me as a shoulder bag but I don’t think it has any provisions for making it ski friendly which would require me to own two bags from the start.

Win win for both parties. Here’s a link to their main site if you’re not looking for either of those specific items:
