Went for my first NSOP sunrise shoot in a few weeks due to my cold. It was an OK morning at Hazard… the sun never really showed up and there weren’t even any good clouds as I’d hoped, but the waves certainly showed up! I’d checked the surf report throughout the weekend and it was ~15′ on Saturday and ~10′ today which I think was about right. The rock you see above is an easy 10′ tall and that’s where I was standing during hurricane Bill when I got wet which was the first time a wave that big had come through that day… Today it was over the top of that rock all morning and we couldn’t even get down on the flat rocks near the normal spot! I ended up going down to Point Judith as well as Newport looking for some decent surfers with no luck after wards.
Hey Ben,
I’m also using the Autofocus Word Press template and discovered you through Allan’s Twitter feed. Looking good.
Best.
