Well, this weekend hurricane Bill rolled through. We didn’t get much more than a few overnight showers and some wicked swell. The surf report said we’d get ~15′ swells around midnight Saturday into Sunday. Not sure what we officially got, but it was rather large. I actually went down and shot the waves at hazard rock Saturday morning with a group of guys, went back Saturday afternoon with Nikki and one of her Co-workers and fam, then went back again this morning. The waves were pretty awesome and worth it, but I ended up drowning my camera with one that caught me off guard…. It’s insured, but it still is a bummer to wreck a camera. I’ll have to call in a claim tomorrow (they’re closed right now) and see how that goes. The shot above and to the right is the last shot my camera took today…
Unfortunately that mean I couldn’t shoot any of the surfers at Point Judith, but I can tell you the waves were almost double overhead (putting them at 8~10′). There were at least 200 people down at PJ watching the surfers that were brave enough to paddle out. It was a lot of fun watching the carnage.
Beyond that Elias seems to love guacamole and Doritos? He won’t eat ice cream, but loves guac…. He’s been having fun this week being back in daycare. He’s also saying a lot more works we think. He did very well at dinner last night considering we waited outside for more than an hour and he was up pretty late.
