This week we had a pool party sponsored by Elias’ daycare. It was Wednesday night and we had a great time even if a wicked thunderstorm rolled in. Nikki even decided to participate in their “pie” eating contest (it was pudding). Elias had a fun time and seemed VERY interested in the pool. There was no shallow end and he can’t quite swim (yet?) so he just stood on one of the steps a few times. Neither of us brought suits to bring him in with.
Yesterday we went to the Zoo with Nikki’s co-worker Cindy and her grand-kid Ronen. We had a great time at the zoo and it was nice to be there when it wasn’t pouring. Elias wasn’t feeling to great yesterday though so today we actually took him to his doctors. Hooray for Sunday office hours! Turns out he’s got an ear infection so it was good to get him going on his antibiotics today instead of having to wait another day. He’s been a trooper, and has been sleeping a lot since he’s not feeling great. Today we’re having a slow day around the house and are missing a pool party we really wanted to go to! I’ll be putting some brake pads in the WRX today (it’s inspection sticker is up) and doing some yard work. I also have tomorrow off (RI still celebrates VJ day) so we’ll see if Elias is up for anything.
