Well unfortunately we didn’t catch it on camera, but Elias stood up on his own for a solid 10 seconds this week.  We were all on the floor in the living room when he suddenly put both arms up over his head then stood up and just stood there!  He’s been getting better and better at cruising and has been letting go more and more, but this was his first sustained standing we’ve caught.


We also got together with Nikki’s friend from HS Corey and her husband Rob on Friday night.  We had a great time and Elias seemed to really like Isley.  She’s ~2 years old to Elias’ ~1, but shes about the same size, so it’s interesting to her walking, talking and helping while Elias can’t so much…  We had some great food with some great conversations, hopefully we’ll be able to get together again soon.


Today we took Elias out for breakfast at the breakfast nook.  He did pretty well and didn’t cause too much trouble.  We got lucky and the only people near us also had kids.  We were early enough we didn’t have to wait for a seat thankfully.  From there we headed off to Ikea.  We were there for a scouting mission for some ideas we have for our kitchen and to get some small things (so for once we didn’t have to tie anything to the roof 😆 ).  So the pic in the gallery below is of the “island” we want, it’ll be against a wall kinda sorta, but hopefully we can pull it off and open up our kitchen/floorplan a bit.
