Well Elias and I had an awesome weekend, as did Nikki, but not with “the boys”!  Nikki went with her parents and brother and had an awesome trip to NYC to see a yankees game.  I went with my parents and took Elias out on avalanche for a “dry run”…  We stayed on the mooring in Jamestown the entire weekend, but did everything as if we were at Block Island.  Dinghy in and out, went to the beach, slept overnight on the boat, Elias took his naps on the boat, the whole 9 and everything went PERFECTLY.  Elias slept like a champ.  Elias loved the boat.  Elias loved going to the beach (and walked the full length of the Jamestown beach).  He had a great time with Gonnie and Grandpa Jake. Dad would be watching him eat (someone honestly had to supervise his high chair so it wouldn’t tip) and if he got up for a second Elias would say “bumpa!” and point back at the seat! Elias had a great nights sleep in the bunk next to me (but with a lee board in). We both woke up at a bit before 7am and got going. Then by 9ish, he took a MORNING nap (relatively unheard of) and then we came home afterwards. He even took a second nap here at home after lunch! All in all it was a perfect test and only 2 things were missing… the real Block Island and of course MOMMY!
