Elias is really starting to take off on us now.  He can walk as much as he wants to.  He can stand for a minute or so on his own, and THEN walk from room to room.  He’s still not quite as fast as he is when he’s doing his head down speed crawl, so he’ll default to that every now and again, but he’s getting pretty good at walking whether we like it or not.  It’s actually pretty fun/funny to watch because he looks so much more like a small person now -vs- a baby.  It’s very cute, but we know we’re in for some trouble as he gets faster.


Other than that, it’s been a busy week with my Dad flying to mayo and back.  The weather has been great this weekend (it was forecast to rain) so Nikki dragged me out running.  I also managed to rake the entire yard, but I’m still not even close to done with the yard work.  I have at least another solid day’s worth of clipping and trimming, plus we’re cutting down some trees and redoing our deck (because we were forced to cut a hole in it by the gas company).  My mom came over for dinner Friday night and now today (Sunday) we’re at Nikki’s parents for a 3 person Bday party (mine belated, Steve’s and Nana’s).  I’m actually typing this out at their house while Elias grabs a nap!  This won’t get posted until tonight though as the pics are all on the computer back home.
