Well, tons of pictures this week. What’s going on with us? Well, we got Elias a “cage”. It’s more to be a temporary childproofing technique, but he really seems to like it. We put him in it with all his toys and it keeps him out of trouble, but it also keeps the pets away and keeps everything clean. He really enjoys it, and we also spend a lot of time in it with him. It’s just a lot easier than childproofing the entire house NOW!!! Yes, that will still come, this just lets us relax about it a bit. He’s also climbing up a bit more. He’s still not crawling yet, but he can now pull himself up to almost standing, and if we stand him up, he can stand holding onto something.
Elias also has a tooth or maybe two kinda sorta but not really… He’s been teething even more than normal lately. He’s got his front left lower tooth to the point that you can easily see the top of it. But it’s not really above the level of his gum’s yet. The front right lower tooth is coming in too. You can already see a hole in his gums for it as well. It’s almost impossible to see his lower gums for more than a second though, and even harder to photograph, so you’ll just have to believe me and watch for some white spots in his mouth in future shots.
We also went to REI last night to get my bike tuned. When we dropped it off we were right next to the kid backpacks so we tried them on and Elias loved it. Luckily we had a gift certificate so we didn’t break the bank on it. Today we went to goddard park and had a wonderful walk. Of course it was blowing ~25kt and ~45º, but we bundled up and went anyway. Elias enjoyed the walk as much as we did we think. We also managed to go out to dinner for the first time last night (also for our 6 year anniversary). So thanks to both our parents for helping out with that. 🙂
