I finally broke down and ordered a wireless release.  Not really sure why I needed one, but I’ve always liked the idea.  It was ~$40 shipped so not too bad and arrived in 6 days (ordered 6/5, received 6/11) from Honk Kong.  I bought mine from “John Camera Store” on eBay.  So far it looks like a very nice unit and it works well.  It even has a 2 second delay of it’s own if you don’t want to use the camera, and fully works with half press for AF and bulb modes.  Pretty impressive for not much money.  It’s rumored to work up to 300′.  I’ll be playing with this over the summer.
